Love the contrasts here---the left side of the tree next to the pale pink right side. And all that bark just sitting there, like a house that peeled from the sun. (Really, trees have a lotta nerve: They shed, and leave their shedding all over the damned place!) Love the scatter of all those shavings. And the lines of the background are really sweet against the vertical impact of that trunk. A fine visual symphony.
