I am a graphic designer, mostly caught up with routine work on packaging, catalogues, manuals etc. Far too little time to be really creative - but it happens once in a while, when my boss and my family have had their (large) share of my time.
I started the "old" way with pen and knife, rulers and that kind of stuff. Also used to draw with pencils and crayons. 1992 I started doing design on a computer. Photoshop 3, Freehand (4 I think, but I'm not sure), Illustrator 4. In the mid 90ties I worked a bit with RDS and Poser 3. Then came Bryce, Carrara, Daz Studio, Hexagon and Blender. Also fooled around with Terragen and some other 3d stuf , like Truespace and of late Vue Pioneer

Excellent!

Splendid work on this complicated scene. Very well posed and staged. I am sure it would have taken you a fair bit of time to stage this scene. Excellent details.

I haven't couted the hours. I worked on this scene over a period of some months on and of, 0n to two hours at a time. Most people were set up as subscenes and loaded into the main scene, that contained the table. For each figure there was a lot of work upgrading textures and shaders to iray. The rendering itself took overnight.
