The barbarian has captured the young prince! Now what will he do with him! I think the prince looks very subdued! The barbarian is in control! Very handsome characters and marvelous scene! Excellent posing and emotional sense! Bravo!

My first thought was that he was bringing him up to offer him at a slave auction. Spectacular work!

There is something classic about the composition and pose, as though this could have been a Greek or Roman statue. The cloth draping is excellent and I appreciate the pop of color. The little detail of the frayed edges on the cloth really make this a joy to behold. I would prefer a little more light on the Roman's face, though, because his expression is getting a little lost here. But that's a small point – excellent work.
