Guess I've never gone downtown in Cheyenne! Didn't know what I was missing. Always just cruising down I-25 in a hurry to get back home, one direction or the other. Nice photo, Richard.

Nice shot of downtown Cheyenne, Richard! Lived there in 1957 when my dad was in the USAF. It's probably changed somewhat since then.

If you ever saw the old, old tv series, "Jean Shepherd's America," you might remember he went to Cheyenne. I remember him looking into the camera, and saying: "Cheyenne...what a great name for a city!" I passed by Cheyenne years back, but had no CLUE it was such a big city. It looks like a neighborhood in Chicago. It's a low shot, you seem on a ridge looking upwards, and you caught a typically overcast shot American urban center, with that gray cast that turns everything kind of drab; and you caught that sleepy urban feeling to a tee. I love the tilts on the streets. And the hazy lazy feeling of an otherwise big urban center. I feel right at home in this shot...this could be a neighborhood north of where I live...
