Description

Just wondering how long all these troops will be festering around the middle east, just like they were in the 1950s when I was in Singapore. My Father was Commanding Officer of Singapore Base District and I can tell you, his SOE skills came in very useful on occasion! Thank you all for stopping by!

Nice work on your scene. Steve--I like all those bubbly, sparkly special effects...Great photo of your very British, handsome Dad :)

Sometimes war is inevitable, e.g. WWII. Demons like Hitler have to be crushed. Today it seems there are Hitlers-in-training, and these sociopathic monsters must not be allowed to gain roots. I'm sure you know who I mean :)

Steve, I think the picture of your father is great, you should post that as your main image. As for whether war is worth it or not.. I am of the school of thought that it is worth protecting your family and your life and perhaps even your friends / neighbours, nothing else is worth fighting over.

A question that finds an answer in Man's greed for the possession of material power...Your composition is beautiful and outstanding.

She looks wonderful.... My dad was in the army and has fought in war so I can relate. Well, whether war is just or not probably depends on ones point of view.... but the hope is they all get to go home one day.... sooner than later... Maybe we need an alien threat to unite humanity and stop with our petty fighting....

Superb render Steve and great sentiment. Great picture of your father, with similar experiences from my own family history serving in both world wars.
