Super SKILLFUL and talented! I notice that like me, you haven't posted here in a good while. Hopefully you still browse the works from time-to-time and will see my remarks here. I have a few questions if you don't mind. 1) You said you did this "from before CAD was a thing". Did you have incredible close-up vision? 2) If yes, do you still? 3) Did you use some sort of magnifying glasses or such to assist in doing these micro drawings? I have one of those same kind of drawing 'pens' with that kind of leads. Haven't used it in years. You're inspiring me to get them out again, although my near vision is quite crappy these days.

I did use a microscope for this portrait. For pencil leads, I used multi ranges but mostly 9H. At these scales, and sharpened very sharp, the lead can crumble on contact with medium. Thank you for your comments.
