It's all they do!
Ever been in a social situation where you're among friends and you look around and they're all staring down at their mind-control devices? I always feel tempted to capture that moment in a picture, but it would require that I pull out my own mind-control device, and the irony would be too strong for me to bear.

Well observed - I also find that the attention span now has shriveled to the length of an SMS or a YT-clip with cats in it....
This is well captured, detailed background and tells a story - if a sad one... thus a like.
