Description
Sometimes doing a favor for a friend can be a lot more than you bargained for. Bobby is learning this lesson the hard way. Pepper wanted a ride in the wagon and Bobby was all for it, but the enormous dog was a lot heavier than he had realized. Half way to the house, Bobby was exhausted and ready to throw in the towel. Mom and Dad watched with admiration and amusement.

(Richard, above, speaks about a huge great dane---when I was a kid, a neighbor had a St Bernard, and it weighed about 6000 tons, ate whole sides of beef, slobbered up a storm, and jumped on me to lick my face, and knocked me over every time. So I can relate to this image!) Another delightful childhood scene from you, and Pepper looks completely the part: huge, oversized and trying to have a good time, though I imagine he'll be fine when he gets to the ground again. The stark white of the house sets off everything else (and you clothed her parents in dark hues, to make fine contrast.) I also love those purple-ish leaves. Another delightful image from you. Hope you're all enjoying your summer (hope it's not baking hot down there!) Always a delight to sit with your work...
