Hi There =) !
Thank you for the wonderful wonderful comments and favs and likes on my renders.
Due to lack of time, if you are uploading more than one image a day, I am afraid I will only be able to comment on a one or two of them at most.
I was once again away from Renderosity a bit this week and last so have fallen back again. Was at page 23 but now have caught up to page 6. Hopefully will be able to catch up to the rest by tomorrow night.
Btw. You might want to see this at the full size.
Hope you all like the render !
Rendered in Daz Studio using the Octane Plugin. No post work done.

Description / Story :
The story continues from The Pickup render...
The thing that had scared the living daylights out of the scientist and what he was frantically pointing to and screaming at Miho about was a huge great white shark. It had charged at them with its mouth open or so it seemed to the scientist and the bodyguard. Miho was still smiling because it was Miho who had gotten the shark to charge at them (she as you know can interact and talk to any animal, telepathically if needed) as she needed the scientist and the bodyguard distracted. When they were inches away from the shark Miho made a very sharp turn that threw both the scientist and the bodyguard off balance and they lost their grip on the handle bars and they both got flung onto the side of the boat and well it was lights-off for both of them as what Miho had intended with that maneuver.
I was shadowing Miho in the invisible hyperplane and saw what was happening below. I saw Miho come to a stop and I put the hyperplane on a hover mode above her and slowly lowered the hyperplane until I could open the door and lower the steps and let her in. Seeing her smiling I knew things were all going well. I told her I did do a brain scan on the unconscious pickup guy who was supposed to make the pickup and got the location of where we were supposed to drop the scientist and the bodyguard. Now the problem was we did not know if anyone was supposed to be there at that location and if they knew the unconscious pickup guy or not. If he knew the guy and Miho showed up with the scientist and the body guard then there would be trouble that Miho would need to deal with and knowing the Corporation, it was a very troubling thought. Miho said not to worry about it. When the time comes she will see what to do. Miho asked me for the handheld brain scanner as she wanted to see how far the the scientist had come regarding his work he had been tasked with - to create a small drink can sized nuclear bomb that was not detectable by any airport scanner or for that matter any nuclear material scanner. I had asked her if she really wanted to let the two of them go after this. She said yes as she wanted to see who all they contacted and where all they went. And that would provide a lot more valuable information to take down the Corporation. She said not to worry as she will be putting in a biological tracker in both of them that they will not be able to detect even with a MRI scan. This was something new. She had not told me she had created such a thing. She asked me to pass her another box along with the brain scanner that she said had those biological trackers.
Miho then got back on the boat and scanned the 2 of them quickly. As this hand help scanner could only scan for the last 3 days, the whole scan was over in a short time. Once done she injected them with the biological tracker and passed me back the scanner and box and asked me to get ready to follow her again. I closed the door and steps and climbed up a bit and again set the invisible mode of the hyperplane. Then she opened the first aid kit and got some smelling salt and open the packets under both their noses. They immediately woke up and the guard was alarmed and reached for her weapon. Miho told them they had just got knock out by her sudden turn to avoid the shark and she was sorry about that and that she will be more careful from now one. She helped the 2 of them back to their seats and put a bandage on their cuts. To the scientist and the bodyguard nothing seemed to be amiss. The rest of the journey to their destination was done in total silence. They were not in a mood to talk and Miho did not want to chit chat with them either. There was a lot of things on her mind and she was busy planning her next move against the Corporation.
Miho finally reached their destination. I was still shadowing her in the invisible hyperplane. This was a out of the way rendezvous. There was just a pier and a house and nothing else around but dense forest and there were armed men on the pier. That was the danger I was hoping Miho did not have to face. Miho calmly stop near the step and thankfully the lead guy asked her for the password which meant they too did not know the actual person who was tasked to deliver the scientist and his bodyguard. Miho replied "king Tut" as that was the only password that had been given to the original pickup guy. The lead guy then asked for the password to the scientist. Which the scientist gave. Miho admired the Corporation's double security step. Even if the person tasked to pick up the scientist was he / she was supposed to be, they also wanted to make sure the scientist was who he was supposed to be. The scientist and the bodyguard got onto the steps and climbed up and the lead guy waved at Miho to move out. Which she did. There was no point in loitering around and raising suspicion. In any case she could track them scientist and bodyguard now with that injected biological tracker. And there will not be a needle mark for them to find even if they looked which she was certain they wouldn't.
Once she was back in the open ocean, she stopped once again and I once again hovered over her and lowered the hyperplane until the open steps of the hyperplane was almost touching the boat. I then picked up the unconscious pickup guy and handed him over to Miho. Miho placed him on the boat and then pressed some points on his neck. He would wake up within 5 minutes and find himself alone in the boat and not remembering what had happened. He would look at his watch and know the time to pick up the scientist was well past and knowing that failure was punished by death he would disappear never mentioning his failure to another living soul ever. Miho got onto the hyperplane and told me to take her back to base we had come from. Then she closed her eyes and I could see she was in deep thought about our next move.....
The story will continue with the next render...
About this render :
Had another very busy two weeks and well, with the last page of the current story I kinda had shot myself on the foot by what I had depicted in the final render I had created for that page. With the scientist and the bodyguard showing fear and pointing to something that obviously scared them I had to think hard as to what scene I could do to continue the story. After almost 2 weeks of trying to think of what to put on the scene that scared them, I finally settled on a really big shark. So I added a shark prop I had but no matter what I tried I could not get the angle right that showed the shark and the boat with all of them. Also it was not looking dramatic. Finally I got the idea of why not show the POV from inside the shark's open month. So I re-position the camera inside the shark's mouth and did some adjustments. The POV looked pretty good. Now it looked like the scientist was pointing straight at the shark and the test render was looking good.
The next problem was the sharks mouth was dry and just adding glossiness did not make things any better as the sun was behind the camera. So added a few splash props I had and added a specular material to it with the correct IOR for water. Now the disturbance of the water was looking good. Basically the sharks head was coming out of the water with its mouth open. But now the top teeth were looking dry and I had to create a water dripping effect. So I basically exported the shark to ZBrush. Turned on auto "Auto Groups with UV" under Polygroups and then hid everything other than just the shark's teeth. Then from the Deformation I used the Inflate Balloon to inflate the teeth a bit and then used the Move Topological and Inflate tool to randomly stretch some parts of the teeth. After I was satisfied I exported just these modified teeth to Daz Studio as a new object. Then I added the same water specular material that I used on the splashes and I had dripping water from the shark teeth and the test render looked pretty good. Final thing I did was to adjust Miho's hair a bit to be in line with her slight head tilt.
I was going to create another panel or two depicting the other parts of the story but due to lack of time I am sticking to just this one panel.

Awesome scene! Brilliant idea to shoot the scene from that POV. I think you just invented the Shark Cam.

Yes, I agree. A really unusual camera angle. LOL Cool Story and Render.Really great done. It is always a pleasure to admire your works.
Wolfenshire
Very good writing to go with the scene, or is it the scene to go with the writing. Excellent work.
rajib
I guess one can look at it both ways :). Actually I would say the idea of adding the shark created both the story and the scene. In most of my work, I might have an idea about a story that results in the image and then I actually work on the actual story keeping in mind what I rendered. Most of my story writing is just before I post. So it is kinda on the fly thing.
