I really like the sense of this place. I get a good feeling for the size of it, and even for the weather. I can easily imagine walking along there with you.
The camera seems to be ever so slightly off of the vertical. Either that or the architecture of the place is just crooked. I think in the second case I might have just gone for making the camera angle slightly more crooked deliberately, just to play into it and make it look less sloppy. I'm also not sure I like the crop on the right hand side. There is a very small portion of a plant on the right side that just seems cut off at a very odd spot. I would have probably moved the right edge of the frame in a little bit to clean that up. The twigs on the bottom and the banister on the left don't bother me at all (and maybe even improve it) but the plant does.
