Description
I have no idea what flower this is, but I recall years ago on a trip with my wife to the interior of the province and taking a photo of this flower with a grasshopper on top.

it's the Blue Thistle. They are blooming just now in the midwest, USA, in my garden, right along side the While Lilliies. Bumble bees love 'em.
