Le château actuel est construit pour le comte Baillou de la Brosse par l'architecte Joly-Leterme, de 1850 à 1865. Le domaine est vendu en 1913 à Henri Fricotelle qui fait moderniser le château de 1924 à 1926. L'architecte Claudon conçoit alors un portail monumental, décoré par le sculpteur Voisine. En 1927, Fricotelle fait construire dans le parc une exceptionnelle piscine, inspirée de l'architecture thermale antique et de la colonnade en hémicycle de Hardouin-Mansart à Versailles. Cette piscine est l'oeuvre de l'architecte saumurois Pierre-Jean-Victor Brunel.

History :
The current castle was built for Count Baillou de la Brosse by the architect Joly-Leterme from 1850 to 1865. The estate was sold in 1913 to Henri Fricotelle who had the château modernised from 1924 to 1926. The architect Claudon then designed a monumental portal, decorated by the sculptor Voisine. In 1927, Fricotelle built an exceptional swimming pool in the park, inspired by the ancient thermal architecture and the Hardouin-Mansart hemicycle colonnade in Versailles. This swimming pool is the work of the Saumur architect Pierre-Jean-Victor Brunel.
