Description

It's been a long road. In what would someday be Tanzania, a human ancestor left footprints in muddy ash some 3,600,000 years ago. A mere 50 years ago today, Neil Armstrong left footprints on the moon. Where will we leave our footprints in the future? Credits: The upper portion of this picture shows Laetoli footprints in test pit L8, from Fidelis Masao and colleagues (2016). CC-BY. The lower portion courtesy NASA. Composition and slight manipulation to improve clarity, mine.

An excellent concept and render of this idea that Man is constantly searching for the Unknown, in his desire for conquest. Well done ! 👍

I hope a foot print maybe the only thing they leave behind. just like national park's sign. take everything you came with and the only thing you can take are your memories.

superb remembrance of the day in history

A valid question - The next footprints on Mars? - On the moon Europe or Titan? - Or the last footprints on our moon? - Where will humanity still leave footprints?

Great execution of the idea. Maybe some day, if we manage not to annihilate ourselves, we might have our footprints on other planets

Mars is soon ... So maybe we'll be visiting one of Saturn's moons by then?

Wonderful comparison and so perfect for the 50th anniversary of 'One Small Step..' I suspect Neil's footprints will be there for a very long time.
