Thank you very much for giving me the hint with the name. I did a little more research and found out it's an Allium giganteum.

So they're called Allium? I only see them in one patch near where I live. Thought their purple roundness was strange at first. Great shot with the DOF.

Beautiful these garlic flowers, I photographed some during my last holidays, but your picture is exquisite
