Description
Portraits. Ah. Ahhhhhhhh! Never quite hit the mark with them... but I took some time over this one. Should probably wait for tomorrow but, I'll be busy. Rendered the lights sperately, did the usual combination of lights, duplicated some of the lights in screen mode but masked off parts of them to only light her right side of face. Used soft light layers to bring out the glow more. Filtered then used curves to take out the over lighted parts. Danced the fandango. No. Lol :)
Any comments feel free, I still don't see how some folks can get magical looking portraits.

All is brilliant my friend.

Once more, you've created a render that - if it were on the cover of a paperback book - would probably inspire me to buy that book. I am not sure at what point a render truly becomes a portrait, but you're right in not christening every head and shoulders close up as a portrait.

I really like the rich details of this one, and the color combo is fantastic! Nicely done!

Looking great ! Wonderful postwork on it. Though I don't do postwork, actually Octane can output things in layers that then can easily be mixed around in Photoshop. Something I have not gotten around to using. But given your workflow it might be useful.
