Not long ago, our land was at peace, and I dreamed of enjoying a long life with my husband, a good man and a great High King. But instead, our lives have been turned upside down and my dreams shattered. A traitorous coward murdered my husband because he coveted his throne, and with one shout he made me a widow and started a civil war. All with the power of his terrible voice, like something out of a legend. Or a nightmare. Now the weighty position of Jarl has fallen to me, and I will do whatever I must to keep my people safe. We must trust the Empire to win this war. And I must trust in my advisors as I learn to lead my people. But no matter how many courtiers fill this palace, only one person can sit on this throne and bear its burdens, in solitude. I am Elisif, widow of High King Torygg and Jarl of Solitude. And when the Stormcloak blight has finally been purged from Skyrim, I will take my rightful place as High Queen. ----- A portrait featuring my interpretation of Elisif the Fair from the game Skyrim. I tried dialing in this character to have Elisif's most recognizable features, although I'm not sure I succeeded. I did a little more postwork than usual based on some tutorials I've been watching/reading lately. But I'm going to need a lot more practice, I think.
