Inspired by the Indonesian movie Bajing Ireng Dan Jaka Sembung (aka Jaka Sembung vs the Ninja; aka The warrior and the Ninja) from 1985. The story is about local warrior-freedom fighter Parmin ( nicknamed Jaka Sembung) who fights against Dutch colonial army in West Java in the 19th century. He meets a fearless woman who is a simple peasant during the day, but a fierce and stealthy rebel at night. All by herself she infiltrates the homes of the Dutch governor and his local ally to steal their treasures and give them to the poor. Together they fight not only the enemy troops, but also their evil and sometimes supernatural helpers.
