Description
The Trèves Tower is a building located in Chênehutte-Trèves-Cunault, France, in the French department of Maine-et-Loire.
In 1750, John II Stapleton had the castle of Trèves rebuilt, retaining only the keep of the old one. A huge monumental staircase gives access to the new palace. The interior staircase serves various vaulted, bare and deserted rooms. Kitchens occupy the basement and below are the prisons. From the castle of Treves, only the tower next to the church of Saint-Aubin remains.
