Description
Just something that I was inspired to do. It didn't take too long. Everything but the sword is subpatches, grass with saslite, and background with terragen. 6 mins to render in lightwave, 20+mins for background.
Does the sword make the picture look cheesy, and do you reckon the rocks at the front need better texturing? I hate finishing a picture quickly! Please leave comments.

I was going to say that the rocks were too rounded, but they fit perfectly into the scene so I take it back :) This is a really cool picture.

Thanks all, I never expected such a big response. And with regards to your comment DarkShadeOfWhite, I thought they were too rounded as well, but thinking about it, in wet places where you would find standing stones, everything gets rounded by the constant rain.

Like the background! Looks photorealistic! I should make a new try for Terragen.. :) Like the stones too! But a thing I think is missing.. A lil' lence-flare from the sun? Just to make it more real! :) Otherwise, a perfect image!!

Boah Grortig. But please No Lensflare. Thats to much technic for this old stones! Excellent!

Incredible. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your historically inspired renders. Ever thought of giving 17th century France a try? :-) Sure you could handle it!
