Description

Alone in the Wilderness. Running from an inescapable enemy. Fairchild sees a glow in the distance. "Oh God," She thinks to herself, "Finally out of gas." She reaches the hill where the glow is. Her legs stumble and fall the whole distance to the crevice below. The ground greets her willingly. She looks up blinded by light. "Am I dead?" She ponders. The light dims some and an orb confronts here with its presence. She recognizes it from a tale that her father's friend Cole Cash had imparted during the aftermath of their last unnecessary skirmish. She gently lifts the orb from the ground and manages to get to her knees, preparing to accept her exhaustion for what it is, a death sentence. Instead,she feels something unexpected. Hope.
