Description

One of the very first movies I remember seeing was Ralph Bakshi's largely rotoscoped version of the Lord of the Rings. Its graphic style made an indelible impression on me, and there are many times I've thought about that movie while I am postworking my renders. Post-processing in Filter Forge, Fotosketcher and GIMP. Enjoy!

Amazing artwork D! Not only the filterworks, but also pov and dramatic angles. Love the details o the shield which did not get lost along the postwork, but instead seem to have been increased. This - to me - is one of the best images I've seen in quite some time. Striking! To say the least!

PS: saw and loved the movie, too. But I can only remember seeing the first book's content, not the whole LotR story. Been a long time... I'm (getting) old.
