Hello Rendosians ! I'm back on the gallery with this picture of the Stockyards of Fort Worth. I dedicate it to Richardphotos who lives in the wonderful state of Texas :-) He is a long time follower and supporter and I think he deserves this little attention :-) Now, as for the image itself... It is a view of the old stockyards of Fort Worth, in Texas. This place is mythical because millions of cattles were sold in auction there until the late 50's. That's why they have nicknamed the town "Cowtown". Some may say that the real West begins in Fort Worth. Nowadays, the Stockyards attract tourists who want to feel this western spirit. And indeed, you can have a wonderful meal with a T-Bone steak and a cold beer in the cool atmosphere of a steakhouse ! As for me, I really like this place for its atmosphere. Some places such as the White Elephant Saloon or the Billy Bob's Bar belong to this place. Feel free to visit Wikipedia to know more about this place ! Thanks to all for your support and comments ! Une magnifique introduction à ton compte-rendu de séjour américain, dans cette photo imprégnée d'histoire et de références à ces traditions qui font la fierté de ce peuple du nouveau monde. Il faudra en effet que je consulte Wikipédia pour en savoir plus, mais j'ai hâte aussi de voir le reste de la série texane ou cajun! En attendant, cette photo est superbement bien cadrée, et la lumière y est très belle aussi, ce qui fait ressortir tous les détails: beau travail, Virginie, et belle dédi pour Richard, qui le mérite amplement.

Toi, au moins, tu sais composer une photo (avec d'autres, comme Jean-Luc) alors que certains ne seraient pas gêner par la présence, en premier plan, d'une poubelle ou d'un poteau télégraphique ! C'est très beau mais je ne sais pas si j'aurais envie d'y aller...c'est loin et c'est devenu tellement ch**** de prendre l'avion ! Après tout, je peux me contenter de voyager grâce à toi, merci.
