how many rings can you count?
the houses have been here for 34 years and figure the tree could have been 2-3 years old when planted. the ants came up when we were having torrential rain falls in June/July this year

Those nasty fire-ants are back, they had migrated out of my area for a couple of years driven out by crazy ants.
