Description
In the mid-80s I had a vivid dream in which a sage opened a mysterious book and revealed an extraordinary vision.
The dream troubled me for decades, and I hunted through the literature for resonances. I found them piecemeal in the visionary poems of Blake and the spirit diaries of John Dee.
I eventually recognised the core in a Coptic codex found in a jar in upper Egypt. This is true.
