This is very, very well done. I have to tell you, though, that there is something slightly disturbing about it. I think it's the name you've given the character. For some reason, it reminds me of a dirty old man luring children with candy. I'm not trying to diminish the quality of your work here because it is excellent, probably just my warped mind. :-)

Hi Dandavis. That's what horror films and the all too real and unfortunate reality of child predation will do. However, the Candyman was a tradition in America for many years, traveling door to door to take candy orders for the holidays. In the midwest there are still some candymen even today. This 1030's character is one such person, and in the day he was a much anticipated harbinger of the Christmas holiday. Hopefully this character will help to rehabilitate the candyman image to something more deserving of what it should be.

Well done mv. This is not only a well executed image, it's also refreshing. Not to take away from what others are doing - and brilliantly, but it's great to see a vista view that's NOT trying to be photorealistic and involves a character! Excellent! My only advice would be to give us some idea as to where the lighting on the candyman is coming from? A street light, doorway? (I presume that you meant "1930's character" or you'd be doing the same work as us?)
