I concur that this has a great sense of atmosphere. Very strong sense of emotion here. Not sure why, but the boat doesn't seem to be fully integrated into the waves. Maybe it's the lack of spray or displacement from the bow? I'm not sure. I also can't decide if she is aloof from the scene (like a ghost) or if she's supposed to be there. I think I'm getting confused because this looks like a stormy scene but both her hair and dress are flowing straight down instead of being blown by the wind. One thing that definitely does work is the lighting. I get a strong sense that both boat and woman are catching light from the same source. All in all, it's a strong image and I thank you for sharing it with us.

Thanks mmitchell_houston, the boat is actually sitting on rock. if you look close you can see the wooden sticks propping it up. I found this boat on dry land, like it was stranded, made me think of it for this scene.
