For more than 20 years I have worked as a technical writer and commercial designer. My primary focus has been on print and Web design and I'm just now exploring the many incredible tools that exist to create 3D work. My main tools are Poser and Clip Studio Paint, which I use to create comic book style line art. I am also published an Origins Award winning Wild West game called GUTSHOT (see www.hawgleg.com for more info).

You know I love your art style! It's funky, oldschool and in these days really unique! So this is another peace I like, but I have a little nitpick: I thought maybe after re-visiting the image and looking at it longer I would wrap my mind around it, but it just won't snap into place. What I am babbling about is her pose. I'm no martial artist (lol, maybe I could be a Kung Fu panda), but the way her upper body seems to be bent forward feels unnatural to me. Just my personal opinion, and not to talk down the quality of your work, but I think it would look more natural and add some to the overall flow of her movement if you pushed her upper body back quite a bit).
My nitpicking aside: love her and hope to see more of ULTRA soon!

Thanks for the kudos and the constructive criticism. I'm actively trying to draw figures as I wish I could have drawn them back in the 1980s and 90s. That's also why I limit the colors so much. And I think you're right about the pose being a little "off." It's mostly because of the angle I selected for the render. I wanted to keep her hand separate from her leg (in other words, I wanted the hand to appear in open space between the two legs so it would be easier to see). I also had a problem with the way her shorts were riding up in this extreme pose (if you saw them from behind you'd see that the shorts had some distortion wrapping around her buttocks). If this were for a cover I definitely would have change things. But for a quickie, I let it ride.
Thanks again for taking the time to comment. All constructive criticism expands my "critical-eye" me something else to watch for in the future.
