I made this image (mixed medium) as a poster-gift for our new neighbors & friends Armand & Sonja,

A haunting image of drought and "ghosts". The elephants are almost ghosts: They look like spirits, asking the woman "where is the water? what happened here?" And you put an imaginary set of blinds (window blinds/Vorhänge?) between the woman and the elephants. As if the drought built a wall between humans and the rest of nature. Plus, the woman looks very sad. And yet you gave her real beauty: Her skin is a dark copper-brown---almost a silver-gray-brown. And her scarf/stole and head scarf are a deep bronze tone. A sad and haunting image, with hidden beauty within.
