Description

Le Bouquetin des Alpes ou simplement bouquetin, est une espèce de Mammifères de la famille des Bovidés, de l'ordre des Artiodactyles et de la sous-famille des Caprinés. La femelle s'appelle l'étagne. Comme son nom l'indique, l'espèce habite l'arc alpin. Une espèce très proche, le Bouquetin d'Espagne, comprenant plusieurs sous-espèces dont le Bouquetin des Pyrénées aujourd'hui disparu, occupe la péninsule ibérique. Une troisième espèce, le Tur du Caucase, vit aux confins orientaux de l'Europe. D'autres espèces vivent également sur le versant asiatique du Caucase (la Chèvre du Caucase, et une sous-espèce de Chèvre sauvage), en Asie centrale, au Proche-Orient, dans la péninsule arabique ainsi que dans les régions montagneuses de l'Afrique, du Soudan et de l'Éthiopie. The Alpine ibex or simply ibex, is a species of mammals of the family Bovidae, of the order Artiodactylae and of the subfamily Caprine. The female is called the shelf. As its name suggests, the species inhabits the alpine arc. A very close species, the Spanish Ibex, with several subspecies including the now extinct Pyrenean Ibex, occupies the Iberian Peninsula. A third species, the Caucasus Tur, lives on the eastern borders of Europe. Other species also live on the Asian side of the Caucasus (the Caucasus Goat, and a subspecies of Wild Goat), in Central Asia, the Near East, the Arabian Peninsula and the mountainous regions of Africa, Sudan and Ethiopia.
