Description

Hi Everyone, I rarely post these days, so forgive if I post 4 at once. I just wanted to get up a few pics, to feel I'm still 'in the game'...(I'm beginning to feel I'm not...) You can comment on whatever you wish. I'm doing little new work, so these are older pics, w/ older camera. (New versions though. You might've seen some originals...) Photos are a few blocks from home: Lake Michigan. I'll finish commenting tomorrow. I hope you're all well this early fall. Thanks so much for coming by! m ------------------

Excellent light and shadow effects in this early morning/late afternoon capture of Lake Michigan, which I thought at first was a shot of melting Arctic ice, Mark. I have no proper analogy for the wonderful textures, possibly a mesh of some sort. And, I still feel rotten.

Beautiful light and shadow play. The warm-colored sky above the frozen ground is a stunning contrast. The frozen water is really lovely, too.

Gee whiz Mark. A highly professional capture you would see in top photo mags like National Geographic. Just love the TOD when you took this.

This is a most fantastic landscape view, dear Mark! The light is amazing and on the left at the end, the splashing water looks a bit like a volcano eruption. Several textures are all over this panorama, and so diverse. In addition, all shadows and reflections in snow, ice and water. Everything is just there. It looks so cold, Mark, but I hope you're warm on your place now.

Oh, this is just stunning, Mark! It almost looks like a view from a probe just landed on an alien planet. The blues and oranges and yellows give this a wonderful warmth despite the obvious frigid environment. Wonderful capture of complimentary colors here. This is gorgeous, and you're quite dedicated to face that freezing cold to capture this. 👍👍
