It's always a treat when you post drawings. This is a beautiful drawing of a joyous kiss between two people. And your pencil work is both soft and expressive, and then very bold (in the dark shaded portions---ie, his hair, through the arches, and in your dark shadows). A very photographic moment, with great expression on the woman. I never used cotton barrier paper or cloth, but I was told (by those who have) that it makes a fine surface for drawing. A beautiful portrait both in subject and in treatment; and it certainly gives hope at a time where hope isn't easy to come by...(and I wish I could draw like this!)

This is an interesting drawing. It is a sort of moment you frequently see drawn in a very kitschy and sugar coated way, but the rendering here is not so sugar coated at all, willing to add harsh wrinkles and rough shading that has not been blended. The result is a sensation of honesty, not trying to say that these people or moment are perfect, but just letting them be who they are.
There are some issues in a lack of contrast between the characters and their clothing. This is particularly true with the man's shirt. It looks like you might have just been following a photo reference or something, but in that case I would have taken artistic license and just given the guy a darker shirt.
I do not know to what degree it is intentional to allow the faces to lack clearly defined edges and just blend into each other at the top (guy's forehead, tip of guy's nose, woman's forehead). It is kinda cool this time, but if it was unintentional it could lead to problems in other drawings.
There is also a second area with insufficient contrast between the back of the man's head and the background, but in this case it is not in the focal area of the drawing, so don't worry about it: It might even be a good thing.
One last issue: The angle of the guy's chin looks weird, and it should probably be flatter.
Good work!
