A famous movie line seemed appropriate.... 🤣 (can you guess what movie?)
I'll soon be regaling you with a bunch of photos from our recent trip to the Pacific NW.. So you have been warned! LOL
Anyhoo.... This was taken at the Cape Horn Overlook on Hwy 14 along the beautiful Colombia River Gorge. Now who might that fellow standing beside me be?? (I'm on the right leaning on the minivan) That's our very own Faemike55! Mike showed us around the area (lucky rascal to live in such a spectacular area..), and even gave us a tour of Treasure House (photos coming soon).
This was typical of the weather we had during our visit, but it was still an amazing trip. And I'm ready to hit the road again - but it will have to wait until next year unless I hit the Powerball.
Jo was being bashful, and sat in the van (and her knees were giving her fits, too) as Mike and I ran amuck.. I shot a series of photos here to stitch together as a panorama.
It was an awesome trip! I'm hoping to do a lot more traveling as we can afford it. I'd love to see Colorado (and stop and heckle Steve for a while 😉), and Jo would like to see Florida (and stop and heckle Jay for a while 😁). I'd like - just once - to see a rocket launch from Canaveral, too.
I'm getting Page 41 put together, and a few other T.N.A. related things in progress, and I really need to update my PP-11, too! I need to go back to work so I can rest up! LOL

And I didn't even break your camera! I'm glad you guys had fun up here. FYI for the others who will see this picture, the day that they left to go home, the clouds went away and it was bright and sunny. Go figure!

Why you old farts (LOL)!!!! The way you talk and the images you create (both of you), I figured you were two snot-nosed 25 year olds!!!!!!! Just joking (cough, cough. . .) I'm gonna hit the big 69 in a couple of months and it's good to have the company of people who understand my reference jokes to the 50s and 60s. I feel bad for your wife, Rod, but at least you had a few laughs with Mike. The only way I'm leaving California is if the San Andreas breaks off. . . no, wait a minute, if that happens I'll still be in CA but I'll have beach front property, literally (LOL). Sorry for the late night rant, I'm just about to hit the sheets. . . Good night!

the film Steve is thinking of (I think) is "Planes, Trains and Automobiles" w/ Steve Martin and John Candy. And yup, this could be compared to that---except you and Mike are great friends from the start. (In the film, Martin and Candy only like each other over time.) Great shot of you two, and it's cool that you're both wearing totally opposite colors (black/navy, and white), and I love the angle, and how you have that beautiful scenery in the background. (And some great graffiti! "Shane"??? "Sara and Ally"???) It's hysterical that the clouds lifted as soon as you left. I saw your comment on that---I can see whole portions of the country screaming, "Rod's coming---get outa town!!!" But as I said, that photo you posted of MSHelens was gorgeous WITH the fog, so I was fine.
Terrific to see you two bro's together, and it's a splendid shot. (Even your shoes are opposites---dark and light---you sure someone didn't set this up in a studio?) I much look forward to your photos, and I hope Jo is doing better...sorry she was hurting during the trip. I also hope Mike is doing better after his loss. Love the shot. Looking forward to more...

Yeah, we actually have a semi-trailer rig that follows us around with a complete make-up and wardrobe department, all at our beck and call... And Peter Jackson thought he had a great system... Hah! 🤣
