Man, these shots of autos in dark surroundings are like big shiny jewels. I know the models, and in this setting they're big, glitzy and beautiful. Your angle brings out the "lineup," like a chorus line. (Do they strip down to their engines by the end of the shot?) A beauty of a shot, and beautiful cars. Love the light.

Swell service.. Those were the days. Great shot of these beauties, Richard!
I found out something interesting on our recent trip... In Oregon it's actually illegal to dispense gas to your car yourself! It HAS to be dispensed by an attendant! I stopped at a station shortly after we entered Oregon, and of course I got out to gas up like I always do. The attendant told me about the Oregon law, and I was flabbergasted (and delighted). He said it was no biggie as far east as we were then, but the farther west you go, the more they enforce it. Something to keep in mind if you ever visit Oregon!

maybe they are looking for me, because I think I gassed up my 4Runner in Oregon

aerodynamics had a different aesthetic in those days as they were tied to form and beauty, unlike today's 800bhp go-carts with a box on top
