Description

This is one of my northwest designs based upon a story about how Raven steals the sun to give light to the first people who live in a world of darkness. Raven is the trickster / shape shifter and seduces the daughter , she thinks she is pregnant but its really raven who is reborn through her . As a child he gets to play with the box were the sun is kept. One day he gets his chance and grabs in his beak it and flys away.

One of the nicest Ravens I've seen--I don't think I've seen the sun done this way before.(Be a great tattoo, too.)

I like not only owls, but even more ravens. They are really tricksters and very clever. From the form of the tail I'd think this is a crow. But that wouldn't matter. The graphic is very convincing. Willy

Excellent artwork. Traditional yet modern. I would like to see some more like it.
