Description

Found this pic of Carla 'B' & it reminded me of Stella. they way she lays half in & half out of the bed. It took me a good while to find the pup that I wanted, saw Stella's pedigree & it looked good to me, knew all the dogs in it & best of all it went back to all my previous girls, in a round about way, even my first, Jenna. Stella has some traits that the other girls had,, Carla 'B' as a pup always ran about with her ear in her mouth, so did Stella. Hester liked to get as many toys in her mouth as possible, Stella carries more than one. Jenna used to carry big stones about, so does Stella. Just little things, that any dog can do but there doesn't seem to be many line bred munsters about so by looking at Stella's pedigree I had some idea of what she should be like. Thanks for the lovely comments, so appreciated. x

Very interesting. Here I thought Stella was the only one to sleep like this...The combination of her "little things" go straight to the "nurture vs. nature" argument. Of course, most humans believe that nurture plays the dominant role in our personal development because, heaven forbid, if human behavioural/personality traits were recognized to be greatly ruled by our genes, it would go against the notion of "free will" and individuality. Humans see no problem with attributing inherited traits in animals...That's why animal breeding is so important. But, after all, we are animals too. Anyway, looks like your Stella inherited lots of those endearing--and hopefully not the naughty--behavioural traits exhibited by her relatives...
