I first came up with the concept for this artwork back during a deep depression in early 2009. I’ve recreated the concept as an artwork about three times since then with what you see here as the third attempt. I think I finally captured the feeling that I was going for way back when. Although it has a specific meaning to me, I think this is one of those artworks that could mean many different things to many different people.

Really powerful and well done, Lizzie! Depression can be a tough thing to deal with, and you have found a beautiful way to face it and say "I will not succumb to you!"
This is the way I feel every time some idiot drives past the house with their obnoxious rap-crap up so loud you can hear it 6 blocks away. Make it stop!
