Pencils: 2H to 8B. This used to be a self portrait, but it has changed a little bit. When thinking of what to add in the background, I thought of putting a wall with a hole in it to add more depth, with something in front of the face but behind the hand. I went a little crazy with the hole and now the hand is smashing through the wall in a display of great power. I don't feel so powerful, and I am no longer convinced this is about me. I am keeping it, because I love the new composition, although the meaning has changed. This is no longer exactly a self portrait. I am still the model for the drawing, but no longer the subject. I need a new title, because "self portrait" is no longer correct. Either way, I am tired and going to bed. I am moving to Chile tomorrow, so this drawing will be completed there.
