Description

"At first, he felt like any stranded, crash-landed survivor. Alone, desperate, isolated. The sounds of the trees and strange animals made him frightened at night. The different rhythm of day and night and the food made him ill. The plants exhaled scents intoxicating and sweet. Over time his senses adjusted. He could distinguish the sounds and his eyes grew accustomed to the evergreen tapestry of the jungle. He spoke to the plants and held discourse with the animals. And then his skin slowly changed to green. He stopped feeling worried, and started to feel healthy and at ease. He breathed the jungle and the jungle embraced him as their own."
