Description


This HDTV resolution test rendering was done for the PowerSat introductory video. Various materials were used to make flowing solar prominences and the 'boiling' star effect, similar to what's seen in the introduction to Star Trek Voyager.

nice look for a sf image. but it dont look like a (our) real sun.

That depends on what frequency of light you're looking at. With the naked eye, the sun is just a blinding white, but in ultraviolet, you get this boiling effect. It is much more SF than photo realistic to be sure.
