great halloween image, Barb, just the spirit for the holiday. Without her face, she looks like a Flamenco dancer, love the deep black hair and roses in her hair, and the rose-laden fan (and maybe those are roses in her dress or top). And she's in front of an ocean of gorgeous full flowers (I don't know most flower names), so without the mask this is a passionate mysterious person, someone right out of opera or flamenco or some other ceremonial performance. But you gave her that half dead, half ceremonial face, suggesting great age or that she's passed on, and that changes the whole enchilada. She almost sneers at us, daring us to come near---which, if she's a ghoul, would be right. You got a contrast of two completely different worlds here, and they work together perfectly. Love the subtlety and slyness of her gaze. Love the piece. Perfect for the holiday.
