Peter Cushing as Grand Moff Tarkin was one of SiFi's great bad guys

I absolutely agree - and apparently Peter Cushing was one of the nicest men you'd ever want to meet. Great actor!

Playing the audio commentary for "Dr. Who and the Daleks" on DVD, the two female leads noted one of Cushing's hobbies was sculpting dioramas of pivotal scenes in the various stage plays he performed. I wonder if he ever did something similar for any of his movie roles? Can you imagine a trio of figurines, Vader, Tarkin and Leia just before he destroys Alderaan? Or his "Dr. Who" (hey, the character addressed himself as such in the two movies) confronting the Daleks? How about von Helsing facing off Christopher Lee's Dracula or Peter as Victor Frankenstein assembling his "monster"?

If he did, I hope those miniature scenes were preserved and placed in a museum where all can enjoy seeing them!

Sincerely,

Bill
