Description

Rendering engine has been giving me problems lately. Can't put too many stuff or else it would switch to CPU rendering. Gave her some cool boots but the renderer refused to cooperate. Funny coz in the past it could have handled much more. Oh well. Emily still enjoying the photo shoot. Pretty simple setup really. Maybe I'll change the car next time. Neeways, me ohpes you nejoyes... :-)) Thanks.

Hmm! I discoverd, that with DS 4.10 or 4.11 DAZ changed something in the IRAY Renderengine because since then, my GeForce GT 545 isn't good enough to be used by the renderer (I think it was when they introduced strand based hair in DS, because It can't be rendered with the previous IRAY render engines). I suppose they forced the GPU-Renderer to look only for a OpenCL1.2 capable Devices. Now since OpenCL 1.2 isn't supported on the GeForce GT 545 (only OpenCL 1.1) I can't use GPU-Rendering anymore in DS. If I start DAZ 4.8, IRAY still uses the GPU (but then strand based hair isn't rendered anymore). So I suppose everybody, complaining that the GPU isn't used for rendering anymore should probably see if the GPU is OpenCL 1.2 compilant (you can find out with the free tool "GPU_Caps_Viewer")
