I enjoy creating artwork in Poser, Photoshop CC, Vue, and DAZ Studio. I also have a passion for photography, and have been actively shooting for many years. I've been using Poser since Version 8, and am also learning my way around DAZ Studio. I've been using Adobe Photoshop since version 4. I also use Vue 10. I frequently use my photos as backgrounds, and composite my 3D figures into them.
I have been creating my web comic / graphic novel "The Girls From T.N.A." since fall of 2009, and have been a member of Renderosity since August 2009. I've made a lot of wonderful friends here, and have been inspired every time I visit!
I will soon have a more complete biography, as I am updating everything. In the meantime, have a look around my gallery!
Thanks!
Rod

Fabulous images and superb installment!
Radar_rad-dude
A spectacular and dark chapter! Much intrigue and danger for the troops! Most superb illustration, Rod! Many fine kudos on your efforts in spite of all the problems you are having with software.

Fantastic page,klasse characters,excellent work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I quite liked this, Rod! It gives a slightly sinister mystery here that I don't think we'll want to miss when it comes Wonderful illustrations and writing! And great painting too
Mmmm, you don't have "Sshodasan's Cloak"? Is that how you spell it? It's dynamic.
RodS
Hmmmm... I don't have that one. I just had a look - it's now in my wish list. That would have saved a bit of time. Or maybe exploded when i tried to do cloth sims on all those figures at the table! 😆

Dark is allowed, don't worry! All the best adventures have their dark moments, and some even allow despair at times. This is getting interesting...
Faemike55
Outstanding page, Rod. A dark scene for dark times. One thing that bothers me, is the dark powers he is referring to. It makes wonderful he he hasn't discovered a means to contact the Unseelie Court. If this is the case, then Fae Valley is going to have to ramp up the army.

Doo dee dooo dee dooo... (that's me humming to myself... 😉 and avoiding any spoilers...🤫)

I think a lot of software problems started when they went to subscription services. Now they are lazy and instead of a completed product, they just put something and say, no biggy, we'll fix it on the fly. Anyway, cool chapter, I like the darkness.
RodS
And they still charge full price for those subscriptions, of course... And any kind of "support" is a joke..

Dark, but that's always fine. The cloaks look terrific, if you hadn't said anything I wouldn't have even noticed. (you are talented on many levels) The skull candle on the table in the first frame is awesome, the reflection is spooky. Details like that make this an awesome read.
Diemamker
Very outstandingly done! I just love the atmosphere you created. I can't wait to see just where this is all headed! just keep them coming!
eekdog
The developments are getting thick, someone needs to find an answer on the attacks. Dang man your story and work on your series just gets better. Wonder where this summer heading and how much worse will it get? You are vastly knowledgeable about computer software.

'Hmmmmm'...I'm thinking.....this new chapter seems to have a very dark and sinister look about it......I like that....it gives this story an 'air of mystery'........very interesting!!!! This is getting sooo interesting......can't wait to see what happens next!! Awesome work Rod!!! I likey!! 'lol'!

a spooky, laden installment, filled with ominous signs and forebodings...your head man here---I was going to call him 'monk'---is a fierce, scary character. If we've seen him before, I don't remember him well enough to recognize him. (My on-and-off presence on RR doesn't help with continuity, unfortunately.) And you hand painted these gowns? You did a fine job, Rod. I don't know how it's done (do you paint it first, then make it "3D" so you can manipulate it? Or do you paint it inside 3D? Even my questions may be screwy...) And he has the look of a stern man in his cheekbones and his hair. Nice job all around.
His solicitation of officers---all in frocks and hoods---is laden too: We know there's a lot at stake in his solicitations. (And it's spooky to hear "my lord" in a 21st C meeting.) The doctor looks a bit like Snowden, and I like that he's got things ready for future evil...Then you end with an old medieval text, which brings us back to the ancient roots of this cabal---very effective, esp with a modern skyline behind. (I tried to read that book---and it says "Hirodoti", which is a form of "Herodotus"---the author of one of the first ancient histories from Ancient Greece. I don't know that that matters, as you probably used whatever medieval manuscripts were available to you ((not sure how much choice there is)), but it's a very, very old text, and I like that it adds an ancient mystery to your tale.)
Yeah, it's dark, but you want that; it feels like a very secret meeting as a result. And I like the reddish-tinted light you cast across the frames. Sweet first frame too, with a dark, dark table lit by a skull candle, w/ some mysterious carafes (and even a stein of beer!), with the 'big board' behind. (Everytime I see a board like that, I think of Dr. Strangelove.) Then you take us to his office, and the luminous globe is mysterious due to the dark light. Very effective; and by creating such a change of pace at this moment of your tale, you've prepared us for a change (which you signal is coming). More thought out, very fine, and beautifully realized work from you.
I agree about updates making things as bad as they make things good. (And wouldn't it be nice if hackers ceased to exist, so no one would have to compensate for them?) If they changed the sun that often, we'd all move to pluto...best of luck, friend, hope you get it sorted out.

As a low key guy I may be biased but I thought the scenes' illumination were fine and perfect for the mood and tone. In fact the low-level light enhanced the scenes and did not detract at all. A LOT of detailed work went into this. As the Evil of all evil once observed, "Impressive. Most impressive." :-)
Grey_cat
It’s not dark; it’s where the story takes you. As you know my story has taken a dark turn also. There’s something off with your big badie’s face, I’m not sure but it doesn’t seem to be quit right. The balance seem to be off. Was it a purchased character?
RodS
Partly a purchased character with some fiddling with the morphs by me.. I'll probably do a bit more (subtle) tweaking, but he's pretty close to the look I wanted.

Great story and scenes!
STEVIEUKWONDER
That cloak looks amazing! I would never tell it didn't have depth. Fine work Sir!
nefertiabet
Fantastic work, very well done!!!
versluis
Great job, I would never have thought the cloaks were painted. Awesome! I like the mood and the world building. The attacks on the bad guys have them worried - excellent.
Steve mentioned that he had some Node.js issues and for him, quitting the Creative Cloud app (and not having it launch when the computer starts) seems to have done the trick.

among your most detailed and perfect lighting. your story rocks

Nice work ! ! !
rrkknight3
Great stuff. Not too dark for me, either.
adorety
Love it! A wonderful twisted dark turn. I even like the font you're using for their dialog. You are taking us on a great and wild ride. Knowing something about the villains and seeing them in their more personal space brings so much more depth to the story. Excellent set of panels and excellent renders. Your attention to detail and "easter eggs" is always exceptional.
