It seems we now have two of our sisters going back to school and everyone could not be more excited. Carla has been excepted at UC Santa Cruz to continue her degree in ornithology, which still boggles my mind, and Susan our newest group member, and cook, will be attending a local junior college as she has just graduated from high school. I have a feeling that they are going to push each other to do the best they can in a friendly kind of competition. As Carla has chosen a hot school girl ensemble, Susan has let it be known that she is a real sports geek after my own heart. Yes she even likes ice hockey and has followed the Sharks since as early as she can remember. I must say these two are going to break more than a few hearts. They are also probably going to cause a few accidents in the mean time (LOL). For anyone concerned, I am not in any danger or getting my house burned down from the fires here in California but the air quality all over the state is suffering. I'm also lucky my PG&E has not been turned off. For most people who don't know, Silicon Valley is located on the South end of San Francisco Bay so there is really little danger of large swaths of old growth forest going up in flames from downed power lines and such, hence we do not need to have our electricy halted for safety reasons.
