Description

I'm sorry it's been so long. I've been having some pretty major issues with rendering lately, every time I get an image rendered Daz just shuts down and I lose everything. It's been frustrating, and I haven't wanted to touch Daz lately because of the problems. Where I used to be able to render large sized full scenes in iray, now I can only render one figure with minimal clothing and no larger than 1200 x 960. This pretty little fairy is one of the few that rendered and didn't crash. Yay! Has anyone else experienced this with Daz? I've never had a problem before this year, but the program has been very unstable since about December of last year. If I can't get it fixed, I guess it may be time for me to put more effort into learning Poser. Have a great Halloween everyone!!

I think I had a problem similar to that years ago. It sounds like you video card is not communicating properly with the latest iteration of Daz, I would try updating the drivers for the video card, and see if that corrects the issue. IF not try the Daz Helpdesk, they will ask for the dump file generated when the program crashes. They were really helpful in finding the solution. Good luck, and a great image.

Beautiful render !!! Sorry that I am just now seeing this. I have missed seeing your work !!! Also, I am sorry to hear of your PC problems. I went through a similar thing with DAZ some time back. It was mostly with larger scenes. I had a lot of DAZ Studio crashes and screen freezes, as well. So, I started creating images that were smaller in overall size and then increasing their physical size with Topaz Lab's Gigapixel. I recently just replaced my aging PC with a much powerful machine. So far, I haven't had to deal with the freezing and crashing (knock on wood!!!). Take care and have a Happy New Year ! ! !
