wow, 3 drawings in a row...this is a jazzy, abstract, dancing semi-chaotic, semi-riotous chair portrait, with the chairs doing what they probably want to do all day and night, but they can't because people are watching. A kind of off-day coffee-klatch among chairs, who laugh, tell stories, get up and dance, and so on. The yellows here are big and boisterous, one section like a big sun. And your reds (and pinks) give it a passion, as do your rushing slapped-on lines. This is pure oil pastel in many spots, it's got that smear-y slapdash and thick feel that only oil pastels get. And it's a big jumping hot time with chairs. I love it. It has a little Miro feeling too.

This looks like something Joan Miro might have come up with. I really like the way the chairs refuse to sit still and the painting almost seems to move as I look at it. It is a blast!
