Description

This is a light-lifter crane in use at a construction site that is nearer to my home. When its trolley is at the end of its jib, it can lift about 1.5 to 2 tons. Observe that there are no overhead reinforcing cables; this is why it is a "light lifter," but it can be mounted in less time. My cartoonish tower crane, that I have illustrated near the Hexand Tower (episode 2, p. 35), would be a heavy-lifter tower crane with a sliding counterweight. This permanently installed crane would be remote-controlled. Next Ionivka's series page : Tomorrow.
