L'amigurumi, littéralement « peluche tricotée ou crochetée ») est l’art japonais du tricot ou du crochet de petits animaux et de créatures anthropomorphes.
Il s’agit d’un mot-valise formé des mots japonais ami, signifiant « crocheté » ou « tricoté », et nuigurumi, signifiant « peluche ». Le terme occidental correspond à la prononciation originale en japonais.

I had a sock monkey as a child, still have it in my hope chest. Occasionally I go through the chest and find 'Chichi' again. the memories he brings back are priceless.
