Waouw! I hope the petrol ( gas ) will be cheaper soon...but I am not sure of that. This kind of car is very "thirsty", isn't it? i get Danielle's Midget tomorrow morning!

Yes, 5.0 V8 but I only do about 1000 miles a years so no problem my friend. I've always loved there's Caprices. I'd really like a station Wagon with fake wood sides but there aren't too many here.

I got some insurance quotes and they were from £450 to £1800. I called Adrian Flux, American car and Classic car specialist and they only want £200.

Good luck with the Midget and let me know how you get on.

It is a beautiful car! Looks like it is in quite pristine shape! I'm sure you will love having it. You can't beat the ride! A very nice photo to share with us! Best of luck with it if you do decide to buy.

What year is that? Looks like a 86 -87 ? Those years came with a 305 and were not really too bad on gas, if you keep your foot out of it. My last Caprice was a 66, that I owned back in 1991 - 1995. Great cars.

Hey Woody, ad says it an 86 and going by the UK "D" plate it's been over here since new. I did see another with the 229 V6 but it sold very quickly. I'm thinking the gas on the 305 wont be too bad and I don't do high mileages. Taking it to shows will be the longest ones. It was the insurance that surprised me most, £200 (about $257) fully comp. My 1.6 Nissan Note was costing me £245 a year.

when I was part of a race crew, the engine was a Chevy 307 bored out to 330 cu inch ($17,000.00 value with all the racing components ). My first new Chevy had a 305 (1969) and it was moderate on petrol
