with people above, a big Wow on this! It's apocalyptic, but it's also extremely sensuous, beautiful in hue and texture, and your light and play between it and darkness is stunning. If this were a metaphor for earth (say, from the climate crisis), then earth itself is portrayed as a passionate, exquisite dancer. Your woman here is part human, part flame, she's part innocent and part totally in control. And the way you've intermingled flame with her gown is deeply beautiful, while at the same time, she seems to be a goddess of destruction. Beautiful reds (some luminous), and yellows...and your background is a kind of paradise that's engulfed in flames and smoke, with all kinds of things back there that could be towns, bldgs, trees, hills, and exquisite clouds. You've combined the apocalyptic with the sensuous and beautiful; and it's one of your most passionate, eye popping images in recent times. I guess if we had to go out in a tower of flame, this would be the way to do it. Beautiful work, Barb. Even the smoke coming out of her gown is a big wow.
